Meesho shipping and return deductions — read your payment file
Read settlement and return-shipping columns without inventing universal fees or double-counting deductions in your Meesho profit estimate.

Use the amounts recorded in your own payment file. Do not subtract the same deduction again after starting from net settlement. This guide explains the supported file calculation; it does not publish a current universal shipping or return rate.
Separate explanation columns from the starting total
SellerWala uses Final Settlement Amount as an order’s settlement starting point. It also reads Return Shipping Charge (Incl. GST) for breakdowns. A breakdown column explains money already represented in settlement; the tool does not automatically subtract it again from order profit.
Synthetic example: if the recorded net settlement is −₹40 and ₹40 is also shown as a return-shipping deduction, starting from −₹40 and subtracting another ₹40 would create −₹80 before product costs. Only add a separate deduction if your source reconciliation establishes that it is genuinely additional and not included in settlement.
The worked profit example shows this alongside packing and product-loss costs.
Reconcile adjustments before judging a fee
Group payment legs by Sub Order No. A later row can change an earlier settlement; a blank status does not mean its money should be discarded. Compare the summed settlement to the original report and panel statement. Confirm the report’s payment dates and signs.
Account-level Ads Cost, Referral Payments, and Compensation and Recovery sheets are summarized separately using their signed values. Do not enter an account adjustment again as a monthly expense if it is already counted from the file. Read why payment differs from order value for the full reconciliation.
Add losses the settlement cannot describe
- Making cost of units sold or written off.
- Packing used on shipped orders.
- Your chosen product-loss shares for returned, lost or unresolved stock.
- Monthly business overheads not already included elsewhere.
Inspect returned stock before setting write-offs. RTO and customer returns have different outcomes; neither implies a single fee for every account or parcel.
What rate should go in a pricing forecast?
Use current account evidence and the costs relevant to your product. In the price calculator, Other fee per order applies only to orders delivered and kept. RTO and customer-return cost inputs are separate. Avoid counting one deduction in both fields. Zero means the cost is excluded from the forecast.
We have not verified current official commission figures, shipping slabs or payment-cycle policy. Those figures remain excluded until a source and verification date are recorded. For an unsupported or disputed deduction, reconcile it with Meesho using your own statement; do not infer policy from the synthetic examples here.
